Catalyst Project Completed

The Town has reached a major milestone with the completion of the Downtown Master Plan Catalyst Project. This initiative, years in the making, aims to enhance the town's charm, functionality, and safety for residents and visitors alike. The project was driven by a vision of a welcoming, modern downtown that preserves Danville's character while prioritizing accessibility and safety.
At the heart of the plan are critical updates to infrastructure, improved pedestrian pathways, and enhanced lighting and landscape features. The updated sidewalks, crosswalks, and public spaces now offer a safer and more enjoyable experience for everyone strolling through downtown, whether shopping, dining, or enjoying one of Danville’s many events.
Providing welcoming gathering spaces was another key goal of the project. The plan includes Prospect Park Plaza at Hartz and Prospect Avenues, to encourage relaxation and social interaction. These elements reflect Danville's commitment to being a friendly, vibrant town where residents and visitors feel at home. The enhancements also include safety upgrades, such as strategically placed lighting and easier street crossings, creating a more secure and accessible environment for everyone.
With the project now complete, Danville is well-positioned to continue fostering a welcoming and thriving community, inviting locals and visitors to experience all the town has to offer in a safe, beautifully designed downtown area.
