2900 Camino Tassajara - Wood Ranch Event Venue
The Town has received a Land Use Permit application (LUP25-0019) to allow the operation of an event venue on the approximately 17.06-acre Wood Ranch property located at 2900 Camino Tassajara.
The proposal would allow the use of existing on-site facilities and outdoor areas for private and commercial events, including weddings, corporate gatherings, charitable events, and similar functions. Events would be limited to a maximum of 250 attendees and would utilize the site's existing rural, agricultural, and historic setting. No significant new construction is proposed as part of the application.
The property is located within the P-1 (Planned Unit Development) and M-35 (Multifamily Residential) zoning districts. Under the Danville Municipal Code, a commercial recreational facility, including a small-scale event venue, may be permitted through approval of a Land Use Permit, subject to required findings and conditions of approval.
The proposal includes the future use of the existing Horse Barn as an indoor event space. Before the Horse Barn may be used for events, the applicant would be required to obtain all applicable building, fire, and occupancy approvals from the Town and the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District.
On May 5, 2026, the Town issued and Appealable Action Letter indicating its intent to administratively approve the Land Use Permit, subject to Conditions of Approval addressing noise, traffic circulation, parking management, emergency access, lighting, hours of operation, and alcohol service.
On May 11, 2026, the Town received multiple appeals from nearby property owners expressing concerns regarding potential noise, traffic, parking, and other operational issues. Because the appeals were filed, the application has been scheduled for consideration by the Planning Commission on July 14, 2026.
