Day 12 Update

Out with the old, in with the new! It’s day 12 of the Diablo Road Culvert Replacement project, and the 60-year-old culvert pipe has been removed. Crews excavated soil and rocks to get to the pipe, then removed it by sections. Contractors have been surveying the ground underneath to ensure the soil is prepped for the new pipe, and to make sure the placement will be perfect for drainage.

While the rain last week was heavier than expected and did cause delays, crews hope to make up any time lost. This week, the new culvert pipe will be placed in sections, and crews will begin to pour concrete to set it in place. To subscribe to project updates, click the "Stay Informed" button.
